Who else agree that bloodline was the last REAL hellraiser movie ?

I mean, in part 4 we were introduced to the man who builted the box and then we saw how it became diabolic and then we went to the future in space where the box was destroyed and with it the real hellraiser franchise.
Inferno, hellseeker and deader were a waste of time bringing nothing new to the franchise + they got pinhead's story the wrong way and had pinhead little screening time (haven't seen hellworld yet).

What i meant was that the box was finally destroyed in part 4 so inferno could never take place and apart from that pinhead was presented in a different was in the later H movies. He had little screening time and his lines were changed.

The box was destroyed. why bringing it back ? we don't need more useless H sequels and pinhead had more screening time in parts 1+2.

No he didn't. And he had far less lines. I have compiled the exact word counts of the first seven films and they go as such:

PINHEAD WORD COUNT
1. 131
2. 173
3. 704
4. 742
5. 187
6. 373
7. 320

Plus, the box wasn't brought back. It's quite simple. Bloodline = Future. Inferno = Present. Therefore Inferno comes BEFORE the future of Bloodline and thus BEFORE the box is destroyed. Simple.

I Didn't liked part 3 and part 2 was very violent for my taste and i hated all the sequels after bloodline which means that only two hellraiser films i really cared about and those are parts 1 and 4.

As I've always said, Part 4 fulls apart and makes no sense when you start thinking about it. It was butchered by studio's who castrated Angelique's character, dubbed er brilliant original french voice and added far too much violence and gore over plot logic. Plus the original Lemarchand is a better history. He's a serial killer not a friendly toymaker. At leats the original cut left room for both to be true.

5-7 are excellent sequels which treat Pinhead with respect and deal with the themes beyond being a Hollywood slasher.

The original cut ends with Lemarchand refusing to serve Hell. Angelique then says "Neither pleasure nor fortune persuades you? Then we must try something else". What happens after this is she torments him with her minions and he appears to die. Hardly 'trying something else'. BUT once Angelique's banished Lemarchand disappears too, ie. he's taken to Hell.

So it ends with Lemarchand disappearing to Hell at a young age... too be freed once he's been 'altered' (Angelique's "something else") to grow older and become the mad genius of the comics.

Of course they don't mention it, that wasn't the point of the film. But then they don't mention much of the past at all beyond the dealings with Angelique and Pinhead who only ever met these versions of the character. They are all individuals, afterall, even if they look the same and have the skills.

i think inferno was a good movie, but the last real hellraiser movie was indeed bloodline, and if the film was kept in its original form then it would of been a much better movie than it is now, i mean its a 4/10 right now on this site, if it was in its whole then it might be a 7 or a 8/10

but inferno is a good film though, has a good story and great cenobites, though we dont see them much

I'm one of the radicals I believe. My all-time favorite "Hellraiser" films are "Deader" and "Inferno".
