VIDEO: Doug Bradley HATES this movie + More

Check out this footage I put together from the Scarefest Q & A entitled "Men Behind the Monsters". It was a great panel. Overall, I think I enjoyed hearing Doug Bradley's comments the most. So I put together a little footage of some of the things he touched upon.

Among them, his thoughts on Hellraiser's future, His favorite/least favorite (Inferno) of the series, His displeasure of remakes and his deeper displeasure of Dimension films. It's a pretty good watch. Doug Bradley is a cool guy and never at a loss for words.

"INFERNO is One of the best Hellraiser movies and NOT to be considered a sequel its better than deader and hellworld" i though the pinhead character was great in the film reminded me of the first film he is in the background conjuring up all his dark magic and was a very effective supporting role in hellraiser inferno he actually had less screen-time in the original hellraiser than he did in inferno its really an underated film

Doug Bradley is entitled to his opinion, but for me Hellraiser and Hellraiser Inferno are a perfect one two punch of a series and for me go hand in hand in tone.

i would like to start by saying ive only seen the first 4 films. that being said i watched the whole panel footage shown and I think Doug is dead on about everything he said however I cant speak for 5-8 but ill take his word for it.

I love the original trilogy, i felt that the edge and the artform of the first 3 was lost on bloodlines. It was filled with massive plot holes and incredibly simplified gore.

from the rumors going around I am told that 4 was supposed to be alot more about the queen of hell character who got shoved out of the plot at the end. and pin head had so many lines he wasnt cool anymore.

I liked him better as a character with mysterious motives and dark entrigue. hellraiser stories are about the mortals who feed there temptation in search of pleasure via pain, and the Cenobytes fullfill that and enforce it. they are a neutral evil force held together by laws of heaven and hell.

This is the point HR3 made when pinhead was separated from his humanity the thing that kept him in his bounds the part that was slaved to hell. When he came to embrace his destiny and himslef in the end he became a perfect being if you will

I hope I didnt lose you in my little rant thanks for reading

I think part 4 is better than most people give it credit for. However, I do feel that part 5 is one of the best in the series. It's a shame that Pinhead himself doesn't see it that way.

Who gives a crap what Doug Bradley thinks. These movies are made for the fans, not the actors who get paid a decent amount of money to be in the 4th sequel of a horror franchise, with 2 minutes of screen time. Furthermore, Hellraiser 3 and 4 were way more abysmal than this. Let's not leave out "Deader" and Hellworld.

Hate t say it, but he derides it because it's so different from the others. Whether that's a good thing or a bad thing that's up to an whomever watches it, but the quality went up at least with this one with going back to basics and putting a new spin on it.

The fact the sequels just covered Pinhead more and more and that was the problem. Withut enough mythology left by Barker to expand the Hellraiser universe, the focus was constantly reverted to Pinhead..

The fact is he was narked that his part only came at the end and it didn't involve a huge role for him as before. He's only human after all.
