This flick found me in the perfect mood for it...
I had been reading some classic EC horror comics the day before and thinking how much I enjoy horror movies that have that quality of detective noir and pulp except pushed to an extreme and possibly supernatural level, maybe having some crime involved in the story like a lot of the classic horror comics did, and characters who are almost as shady as what they are up against. So then I watched this film, and it fit that mold perfectly. For a straight to DVD, this was actually a lot more interesting than many feature horrors I've seen lately.
