Is this movie even a sequel?
The reason I ask is because...Isn't Pinhead suppose to be dead??? He died in Bloodline for God's sakes.

shareI do not know if anyone will bother reading this as the thread is not all that new, but I'll answer anyways.
Yes, Pinhead did die at the end of Bloodline. However, his death was set in the future, long after this movie takes place. So even though Bloodline was released before Inferno, much of its content takes place AFTER Inferno. It's sort of like Jason X, which came out before Freddy Vs. Jason, but is set after it chronologically.
Exactly, chronologically Bloodline's finale is set in the future.

Hellraiser 5-8 are prequels.
shareNo 5-8 are all other films that Disney/dimension/ miramax had the rights to that were developed AS hell raiser films to make a quick buck. none of them ase sequels. - that's like saying prom night 2 and 3 are related to prom night , and that 4 is related to 2 and 3. they have
the only thing the movies have in common with Clive Barker's work or the origina 2 movies are the Lament configuration and the Cenobites
Not only was Bloodline set WAAAYYYY in the future, but I don't think we can even assume that Pinhead "died" in it. For one thing, can he die? He's already dead. And for another - he seems to be destroyed in just about EVERY Hellraiser movie, but always finds a way to come back.
shareHe's only actually died twice in the series, in Hellbound and Bloodline. Every other time, either someone used the box to send him back to Hell or he went back on his own accord(such as in Inferno, Hellseeker, Hellworld and Revelations where he "won").
shareHellraiser 5-9 never happened.
