Torso chatterer cenobite...symbolism

Ok so correct me if I'm wrong: the original chatterer was a young boy who was so nervous that his teeth chattered (hence the name,) and I can see that using that cenobite would connect to the theme of the main character losing his innocence, blah blah blah. Ok, but...why is there only half of him? Am I missing something?

You're overreaching. I don't think anyone involved with making this has even seen the other Hellraiser films, let alone knows a Cenobite backstory enough to make a symbolic connection.

I used to think Torso was possibly the original Chatterer resurrected and in an unfinished state, similar to Frank.
