No seatbelts!

It's a film about a cop and a guy who is emotionally scarred by a tragic car accident. WHY, then, do they NEVER put on their seatbelts when in the car???

OK, so bad driving in films is one of my little pet hates, but surely in this one it makes even less sense than usual. Grrr.

Yay! I noticed that too! At first when Sharon was giving Catch a ride home I thought they could get away with it! But when he started driving for the first time...just stupid!

It's the driver's responsibility to make sure all passengers are wearing their seatbelts - so surely Catch should have been up on manslaughter charges for totally disregarding their safety.

Plus, looking at that head-on collision with the lorry, at that speed, there is no way Catch would have survived it - never mind only having a 2-inch scar on his chest to show for it.

Honestly, in this day and age, even if there hadn't been a fatal accident you'd think two intelligent people would buckle up. One of those glaring errors that erode the credibility of an otherwise not too bad film.

At least in the end where Catch decides to drive, neither of them wears seatbelts.
And, yes, she was drinking and driving. And the best part was, that she said that she's not drunk because she's not throwing uP!!!!!!!!!
A COP says that ónly if you're throwing up you're too drunk to drive!:)

Also, when the accident happened, the son had no seatbelts on, and THREW a toy to his dad, who was driving, and even worse, he turned to him to CATCH it!
No wonder they crashed.

Anyway, as you've said before, I would have thought they'd learned something from all this and would be wearing seatbelts.
I know I would've had, if I'd been Jennifer and letting this unbalanced man drive my car after what he'd been through...

Even though I know this wasn't meant to be an educational film (I hope), the director and all should carry SOME responsibility of what they show in a film.

The "funniest" thing is, that (in films in general) they hide nipples and stuff, and then go on to show this irresponsible and LETHAL behaviour.
Something's really wrong...

THANK YOU! This point has bugged me since the first time I saw this movie! I just watched it again the other day and it has been bothering me again. I know it's just a movie, but why didn't they think of this when filming?
