Wrong title?
I really love this movie and I find Jennifer Lopez definitely a super-actress
(when Catch's mother-in-law asks her "what are you afraid of" and she answers "losing him" I find it breath-taking, or her reaction when her father tells her "I feel like I don't have a daughter anymore")
but I think there is something wrong with it, starting from the title: "angel eyes" doesn't fit at all its idea and spirit; I'd call it "scratch" or something like that, because looks like that is the main topic of the movie. Second, I think that Catch's character is contradictory and not credible: the main thing that bothers me is that he gets angry when someone talk about his past, so I assume he is actually pretending to be some-guy-with-no-past; what if, when someone tries to reminds his accident or his actual name, he went like... catatonic, shivering and sweating? In my head, this way it would make me believe that his pain was so big that he couldn't express it in any way, making him even more mysterious and borderline. From this angle I found also contradictory that he was keeping his son's toys, but I loved the part when he grabs the trumpet in the club and starts to play, I found that scene a cornerstone of the movie.
Just my opinion.
