I don't remember the soundtrack from American Beauty, but I have seen Erin Brockovich several times and I think I would have enjoyed Pay It Forward more if it didn't have the same theme running through it. Does Thomas Newman think he is Philip Glass? At least with Philip Glass you get some originality each time. Not just the same damn thing recycled over and over.

shareThat's so true!!! i was sitting there and thinking that it sounded exactly like Erin Brockovich and similar to American Beauty (but that might only come up because of the whole Kevin Spacey thing).... ironically Erin Brockovich was playing two channels above Pay it Forward when i was watching it tonight.
