vigil at the end

How on earth did all those stranger find out where trevor lived? I can accept his grandma & friends/classmates knowing but a whole load of strangers! is a bit unrealistic

It's the tribute that matters and I thought it was beautiful - though it's an emotional ending that was difficult to watch. Sometimes I like to have a good cry but I would just assume the movie should end differently.

Those really ARE blueberries, ma'am

Those strangers were probably people he knew around the community and/or the families of his classmates. I'm assuming that they were all invited to the vigil and had earlier been informed of the location by Arlene (the mom) and Eugene (the teacher). So, I don't think it's very unrealistic at all...

All it'd take is a few people knowing where he lived to spread the world.
