Continuaty?

Which should continue first?

Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog (2nd season)
Sonic SATAM (3rd season)
Sonic Underground (other episodes, as well as any new ones)

Any one is good, but I'd like to hear everyones opinion of which should go first, second, and third.

None of them exist in the same continuity. Each is an independant show, and these shows also exist separate to the games. Sonic X, the new anime, is a crossover with the games, but it has it's own storyline which contradicts much of the game series and therefore it is another continuity. So basically you've got 5 continuities there - and then you can bring in the Fleetway and Archie comics, as well as all the stand-alone games (Sega Sonic Arcade, the GG flops, etc.)... there's quite a lot of variations on Sonic.

* AoSTH features the planet "Mobius" (while Sonic was always set on Earth, actually), as well as an Eggman redesign and some new villains. Of all the cartoon represntations, this is strangely perhaps the most faithful despite it's comedic tones, duet to the presence of the Egg-Mobile (here called the Egg-O-Matic) and the Chaos Emeralds. A very bizarre animation style though, and it really has nothing to do with the games apart from having the same characters.

* SatAM (Sonic the Hedgehog) features a whole host of characters who have nothing to do with the games or the former series. Again, another Eggman redesign. Sonic is a resident of the Kingdom of Knothole (don't ask) and is a "freedom fighter" against Robotnik's empire. Different method of creating robots here - rather more disturbing actually, as people are actually turned into robots and lose their mentality, instead of merely being placed inside shells. A lot of stuff was transferred from here into the Archie comics but really, the two contradict each other a lot and run very separate paths. Worthy noting that the rings are present here, which aren't in any other Sonic animation series apart from Sonic X.

* SU is completely random, really. This time, Sonic is a guitair playing prince who meets up with his brother and sister, who form a rock band who are also a royal family. Features no Tails, a father for Knuckles (unheard of outside of Archie), and Sonic's mother - a queen. It is easily the most offhand representation of Sonic and has extremely little to do with it.

The only thing generally considered "canon" is Sonic Team and Sega's output. This can be interchangeable since there are games which add nothing to the overall plot. The most commonly accepted version goes something like this - Sonic 1 (MD), Sonic 2 (MD), Sonic 3 & Knuckles (MD), Sonic CD (MCD), Sonic R (SS), Sonic Adventure (DC), Sonic Adventure 2 (DC), Sonic Heroes (X-Box/GC/PS2), Sonic Advance 2 (GBA) Sonic Battle, and Sonic Advance 3 (GBA) - with the only reason the advance games being included for the fact they introduce Cream (and her mother... *shudder*) and Gemerl (who appears to be an Emerl remake). Following on we'll soon have Shadow the Hedgehog to add to this. You can generally add on the other games as you please, since they generally don't affect the overall storyline in any way.

Hope this helps!

Note: MD stands for Mega Drive - the UK name for the Genesis.

That wasn't what I really meant. I meant to say which series should be continued to the next season when they can be brought back, NOT of their continuaty from the Sonic Universes.

Ah, my bad. Personally I don't think any of them should be continued, really.

Well, maybe they can just be a direct to video or DVD release instead of airing on television. But I'd still like to hear about fans of the shows of which should follow.

After that cliffhanger and knowing how Ben Hurst described it, I'd like to see the "lost" 3rd season of SatAM as much as anyone. But there's been too much time elapsed. Bunnie's VA's retired, and the only people old enough to remember what the cliffhanger was in the first place're all probably at least five years older than Sonic's target age range. Possibly ten or more.
