Stupid Question: What was the point of this dialogue? ('Sno' Problem')

There's a short moment where Sonic and Tails pass a skiing Rabbit, and Tails asks who it is, and Sonic just says something like "Skeeba" (probably spelled "Skiba"). Is there any point to this?

I don't think she's in any of the games so is she supposed to be a reference to a real skier or something? Or is it just something that the writers did randomly? I'm asking because they make it sound like "Skiba" is someone who is recognisable by name, like a celebrity.

Note: This was all from memory so if it's wrong I'm sorry.

Maybe it was a joke in reference to Shiba/Siba who was deleted from Virtua Fighter but still appeared in promo stills and on some arcade cabinet art.

I believe he actually said "ski bunny".

Well, that would make a lot more sense. :)

Thanks.
