Questions About the Film

1. Is Erin actually diabetic, or is she just making that up as an excuse as to why she injects herself? She is never seen testing her blood sugar or with an insulin pump, which is much more common than insulin injections.
2. Why did they force Ruby and Rhett so share a room?
3. Why didn't Ruby just change in the bathroom?
4. Was Terry planning on raping Ruby, or did he just like to make her feel really uncomfortable? e.g when he stares at her in the bikini, watched her change, leans over her in the car
5. Why did Terry drive so fast? (again, just to make Ruby uncomfortable?)
6. Why would their parents leave the kids to the old neighbors if they were no longer close friends?
7. Did Erin kill herself intentionally?
8. Why did Terry want to shoot the kids at the end?
9. How did Terry survive the car crash, and how were his hands no longer taped?
10. How did the kids reach the scene of the accident so quickly?
Just a few random questions I had after seeing the movie. Let me know your thoughts.

1. I think she was diabetic and also a drug addict.
2. To honestly make them feel uncomfortable, I think.
3 and 4. The bathroom may have been too far away but yes I found it weird she changed in the hall the first night. But I think that was just to show that Terry probably was planning on raping her.
5. I think it was more than make her feel uncomfortable. That is being too nice. He is was trying to scare her into conformity.
6. I think that Beglieter wasn't telling the entire truth. I think Terry and Erin volunteered and lawyer thought it was better than them becoming wards of the state. I think he was a good man but got manipulated. Yes he told Terry and Erin everything but maybe it was because he was hoping they would change things to make it more comfortable for Erin. I mean he did get a hold of the social worker and the social worker did visit. He wasn't purely evil.
7. No, I think Terry planted that syringe there and he actually killed her by having her kill herself. He had planned on her doing it just not at the time it happened.
8. Well if he was the legal guardian and they both ended up dead he would get the 4 million dollars. He didn't need the 4 million dollars for the gangsters. He only needed a small percentage of that. It was all about the money for both Erin and Terry, but I think Terry frightened Erin and I think deep down she really did want to be a good mother to the kids but was always in fear and the only way to deal with it is to be high.
9. Very carefully lol and he could have removed the tape by cutting the tape with a rock or something.
10. I don't know if they reached it that quickly, they had been walking for a while. It seemed quickly through film time but we don't know how long they had been walking, how long the cop had driven prior to getting to the first accident and how long he drove to get to the second accident although the last two weren't that far apart.

Those are my thoughts. What do you think?
