Is there a movie similar to glass house?

I come here to ask the name of a movie hidden at the bottom of my memory. I think the plot is similar to glass house.

someone(victim) is forced to stay in the house by a bad guy , but no one knows and there comes no help . Whenever a visitor comes , the bad guy always
makes it all look good .
A day , the victim ate lunch with the bad guy , he look out the window but couldn't find his dog ,suddenly he realized that his dog was cooked by the bad guy and now he's eating it ... that made him so sick and feel tortured

these are All I remember, anyone know what movie it is ...?

There was a Julia Roberts movie, I forget the name, where she lived in a glass house with her abusive husband along the coast of the United States eastern seaboard. A good thriller, but attempting to fool the husband into thinking she drowned at sea, and then throwing a wedding ring into the toilet without flushing was one of the more foolish things she did in that movie--as it set up the entire second act.

The Julia Roberts movie was Sleeping With the Enemy, but it's not like the one the OP described, That sounds utterly gruesome,

There is a Lifetime movie that is almost identical called The Good Mother. teenage girl and younger brother are orphaned when their parents die in a car crash. bachelor uncle can't take care of them. they are adopted by a couple with a big isolated house and slowly are cut off from the rest of the world. the only difference is the motive of the adoptive parents. in The Good Mother, the couple is just nuts and torture the children.

the glass house is a much better movie.
