She couldn't go change in the bathroom?

She was just acting out of force of habit. When her parents were alive, she used to disrobe in the hallways all the time. Her dad raised her that way. He said, "I like to watch my little girl growing up." Originally the family was from West Virginia. She was only uncomfortable getting observed in the new house because of the new surroundings, plus she thought everyone else was in bed.

I just watched that scene and thought exactly the same thing....the hallway not the bathroom. seemed highly unlikely.

That whole thing was weird up the wazoo. I know the brother was young and is getting to be that age where he would be curious and interested in looking at older naked women, but I don't know any young kid who would want to look at his sister unless he had those tendencies. I mean the fact she warned him about looking away was probably meant to be a laugh line, but it just made me question their brother/sister relationship prior to the start of this movie.
