Sci-Fi series DVD

Ok I know this series has already been released on DVD. But some of the people whom helped produce this series worked on another beloved (cult) series "Good vs. Evil" (G vs E). Which "Invisible Man" viewers may have been fans of, as well and prehaps to a lesser extent "Sliders". If you are interested in seeing either series finally hit DVD (We seem to need all the help we can get), please visit

For some reason the owners of the rights to these programs are missing out on one last buck from the people whom actually supported these ill fated series. At least give us the fans the ability to buy the finished series in seasonal box sets. Extras are not an issue, the ability to purchase they tv series on disc is far more important then insuring extra features. So if you were fans of either of these series and would be interested in buying these on DVD, as fans all we can do is check out this site. (No I'm not trying to plug the site, I just really want the ability to purchase either one of these series).

SCIFI.COM is holding out. They're the ones who are blocking the release of the DVDs. I contacted Stu Segall productions, the ones who made the show, to get a lead on the DVD ownership rights. I was told to "contact Scifi.com" I did email them/asked them if/when they'd release the show. That was 2 or 3 months ago, they haven't responded. Course they probably get a lot of email.
all I can suggest is mailing sci fi to see if they'll listen, course the fact that they've cancelled Farscape/other popular series doesn't say much for their track record of responding to the fans.

I emailed sci-fi.com about this around 2-3 months ago and got a response the following day, they have no say or control over this release/ or the release of remaining series. Guess we will just have to wait...

I found a website where the full two seasons of 'The Invisible Man' T.V. Series (2000-2002) can be purchased on 12 - DVD's for only $59.99 US dollars + shipping - to Los Angeles Califonia it was $9.99

Check out 'Media Enterprises'. http://www.themediadepot.tv/search.php?mode=search

CAUTION! Purchase at you own risk. I just ordered mine so I have to wait and see if they deliver and what the quality is. The DVD's were said to be 'region free' without commercials or any extras but are supposed to have episode menus. Wish me luck and good luck to those of you searching for this TV series gem!

Before they worry about "G. vs E." and "Sliders" I prefer they release "Invisible Man" on DVD. I live in America and I can't find it anywhere. According to IMDB they have it in England and somewhere else, but not in US. Let's focus on that first, shall we?

I got season one through BitTorrent! Took about 2 weeks but season one is mine! But I'm still going to buy it when it comes out here in America. Its my belief that spending your money is like a vote. The more we 'vote' for Iman the more the owners realize how much we LOVE IT!!! God its three am and I have no Idea what I'm talking about....

IN the UK we only got season 1 released by Contender DVD but they never released Season Two which I have never seen but want too.

The commentaries were OK. The Eddie Jones one sounded like he was on the phone it was so muffled!!

I really want both seasons of The Invisible Man on Region 1 DVD as well. They're nearly impossible to find..... wait....they ARE impossible! :(

if you guys in america really wanna see it, i can say try ebay or amazon and get a region free pal/ntsc dvd player from coby. it's like $30. then just buy the region 2 dvds off amazon.
they have season 1 in 2 parts, or as 1 boxed set which just came out this year.

thats what i did and it has been great. i really wish they'd put out season 2 though. this is definitely one of my all time favorite shows. i was so bummed when it was cancelled.

I live in Australia, they stopped it HALF-WAY through the series to have the friggen AFL and Rugby! I HATE FOOTBALL!
Then we had to wait another 24months to see the 2nd series, sneakily played at lunchtime during times when school was in session.
I haven't even seen the last episode. It was such a great series that I nearly cry when i see crap like tremours playing and stargate (yes, i was a fan but after a 36 non-stop marathon at a friends house during my bloody 18th caused me to change my mind).
If anyone, ANYONE could kindly copy them to a Regionless DVD and send it to Australia for me, I'd be your blood or organ donor if you ever need it...
I'd pay for it tooooo.

If everyone would flood Sci-fi with e-mails, they'd stop holdong out when they realize we're buying.

The sad truth is, there is little that can be done. Sci Fi doesn't seem to believe there is enough market value to let the show be produced onto DVD... they probably believe it's more or less a waste of their money, even though they did release it in another country...

They could easily make their money back, but their probably thinking if it doesn't sell well enough, it'll be an even higher risk to them... I dunno, too many damned good tv shows never see the lens of my DVD player...

reply

Sure, we'd all prefer the complete dvd set, but if SciFi doesn't want to put a lot of money into a big roll-out, how about just put them up on iTunes?

Not as good, but at least we'd get to have them.

I bought DVD's off of Ebay about a year ago. They seemed real legit and such but as soon as they got my money they dissapeared I only got half of what I paid for them back. So be careful!
