who won the world heavyweight championship while this was in the box office and who were the wrestlers in this movie?

If I remember rightly that was the screen son of main character Jimmy King

not sure though, so peeps correct me if i'm wrong

also Chris Kanyon was the wrestling advisor

Following the release of the movie, WCW bookers decided to promote the movie by running a storyline in which David Arquette became WCW Champion. The storyline was reviled by wrestling fans, and Arquette himself reportedly believed it was a bad idea. He eventually lost the title in a match involving the three-tiered cage seen in Ready to Rumble's climax, and donated all the money WCW paid him to the families of deceased pro wrestlers Brian Pillman and Owen Hart and deceased referee Brian Hildebrand.

im downloading that triple cage match on limewire. i was going to add before reading your post that david arquette was a wrestler in this movie because of his time in wcw but idk if that would count.
