This has to be the single greatest movie of all time!! Arquette should have gotten an Oscar for his performance in this. I don't know how they missed this film when it came to the 2000 Oscars. Oh well...

shareWell, it's not really lame enough to be considered "so bad it's good;" on the other hand, it's obviously not the greatest film ever committed to celluloid. I'd say it's just a bit too mediocre and middle-of-the-road to be considered in either class. That being said, I enjoyed it.

It's severely underrated and sadly I can't even find it in Wal-Mart anymore or in my video store.

If you want to watch a good, fun wrestling movie that doesn't take itself too seriously watch Bodyslam instead.
I find it to be a fun movie that I can sit back and enjoy. Funny lines and moments and I was a big wrestling fan so I liked it.
shareOh man...I love this movie. Is it the funniest movie ever made? Hell no. Is it one hell of a funny movie? That's a big fat yes. David Arquette was funny as hell (probably his best role). Oliver Platt was awesome as the boozehound Jimmy King. Scott Caan was awesome as the bestest friend a wrestling fan could have. A very underappreciated movie, but just keep preaching that to the rest of the world.
