As everyone knows, a year after this movie came out WCW went out of business. Was the company so desperate for any publicity that they paid the producers/writers to use WCW? I'm sure it began filming in 1999 and that was when the company really, really had NOTHING going for it.
shareUm... Warner Bros. made the film, they are owned by AOL Time Warner, and so was WCW. Bischoff was the producer of this. It was MADE by WCW, so no, WWF would not be in it. Good grief...

shareSorry, wasn't trying to be rude, but Bischoff IS listed in the credits. Not many studios walking around with wrestling movie scripts just looking for the right promotion to sign on.

I think that is why the chose WCW. They were able to free up more time for the movie. The WWF was way too busy to be involved.
