The problem here is, what is the definition of 'fake'? Do you mean that the drama, the microphone screaming, and match results are scripted? Then yes, its fake. Okay, many of the punches and hits are pulled, or rolled with. But there's no way to fake a lot of the moves, like a body slam. You really have to pick someone up and throw them down. The key is, these guys are trained on how to fall. How to land so your body absorbs the shock. But guess what? They still get hurt, and hurt badly, too.
So, here's the real question, who cares if its fake? Do you go to see movies for the level or realism? If so, why the hell are you watching a wrestling movie? Or any action / sci-fi/ romantic comedy or really anything but a documentary? Or anything on TV except for news and game shows. As another poster shrewdly pointed out, most everything is fake in media. Does that reduce its entertainment value? If you think so, then I guess I'll have to challenge you to a cage match!
