cynicism about the ending

As much as I like this movie, I guess I've never really bought the end. Obviously, it's the only way to end it, but it's a "movie" ending if you know what I mean.

I think in real life, Dora would have eventually realized that Alcott was bad for her and left him, but I don't see her running into Paul's arms. It seems like she would only think of him as a friend.

I actually really agree with that. I watched the movie today and brought that up to my friend (that I don't she'd just run into his arms) and she threw a pillow at me and told me to enjoy the god damn happy ending.

Ah well. Cynics unite!

There will always be women in rubber flirting with me!

Uh, hello, she saw him shirtless...lol

well that's just it, they're assuming the best happens and she realizes that he liked her the whole time, see not many girls realize that the guy who is their best friend is secretly in love with them, they just assume, oh he's my friend, but they just bend the rules a bit, write it so she get's it, but instead of running over there going "it's okay Paul, I love you too" she tests it out with the pizza and movie and waits for a reaction and he reacted and it was obviously how he felt so she went in for the kill.......I understand being a girl and having guys friends that sometimes crush on me(however rare that is) more so that I crush on guys that never realize I'm crazy about them....yea okay I'm done, I hope you understand a bit more now though....

yea I know this is too long, sorry, I tend to ramble.
