I'm suprised no one mentions the massive class struggle going on

Think about it...Paul represents the Working Class Hero, the normal bloke who's worked hard, scrimped and saved to get where he is. Then you have the roommates, rich city kids who have never worked a day in their lives. They got into college through money and don't really want to graduate. They pick on Paul because he hasn't shared their silver-spoon lifestyle, but the working class hero triumphs in the end. Am I right? Or am I just looking too far into this?

The horror...the horror

And the teacher is rich and sophisticated, but he doesn't really love the girl, who's poor.

It's a perfect vision, of how nice guys DON'T always finish last.

Only if the real world believed in karma as well.

I adgree with you on that. You pretty much nailed that. It is ashame how Dora treats Paul too. Paul has a thing for Dora and she just really does nothing about it. In the movie, Paul seems like a sweet guy and she goes after the mean professor.

<3 Ngc 4 Amc = FAB <3 I am madly in love with my stud!!!!!

"Paul seems like a sweet guy and she goes after the mean professor."

Yeah, so, nice guys do always finish last. The only reason the loser gets her is cos the professors is bored with her, and treats her like crap.

Actually I think you're quite right! I really wanted to kick those snooty boys' heads in.

You can see the resentment at the end when Paul says something about "your Daddies pay for you to go to college so you can skip class and party" or whatever. I'm sure I'm not anywhere near the actual quote!

No, you're right. Although it isn't too hard to notice this theme, especially when the spoiled rotten roommates wear fashion victim clothing and have treatments in salons that most students could never afford.
