Persistent nice guys FINISH LAST

Loser isn't an amazing movie. But I still enjoy it for what it is. However, the main issue I have is that once again Hollywood makes it seem like the creepy persistent "nice guy" eventually gets the girl. In real life this is not how it works.

1) Example - When Paul asks Dora out, she says "You don't even know me." Then he proceeds to list off personal information he got from essentially stalking her from a distance. Any woman in the real world would write him off as a creeper and want nothing more to do with him.

2) Example - Paul pretends he isn't interested because he's too scared to be honest. The flake flower bit, listening to Dora talk about her problems with Alcott, etc.. In real life women like honesty and directness. If you're attracted to a woman you have to make your intentions known. They actually feel resentment when a guy pretends to be a friend and then springs it on her way down the line.

When guys buy into this crap and get friend zoned repeatedly, it almost makes me feel guilty for getting the girls they want. However I get over it pretty quickly. Haha

Well don't forget the fact that Dora was treated like garbage from the "bad boy"....and sometimes even the girls who are most out of a nice guy's league will seek comfort in them.

It wasn't like he was a shy, quiet, unattractive guy. He was a super nice cute guy. He stood up to all kinds of people in the movie, despite being alone. That is attractive.
