This film beat out Chopper for best picture AFI? How is that so?

This is actually a classic movie. I've studied lfa for my hsc and the movie kicked arse. The reason it beat Chopper is because...that's right, it kicked arse.

I wasn't aware that it won the AFI award over Chopper. Chopper is an infinitely better film.

I also studied Looking for Alibrandi during my HSC. One of the all time classics as far as I'm concerned. However I do believe the novel is better then the movie.
