did anyone else notice?

Just wanted to say that i love this movie - it's not often that you buy a movie for £1.50 on DVD and discover it to be useful for anything better than an alternative mirror or coaster or even a frisbee if i'm feeling playful!! but this was not only good but good enough for repeat viewing!!
Anyways just wondered did anyone else notice the bit where Josie sees John at the train station. He looks really sad and firstly it annoyed me that Josie didn't notice - it breakes my heart when he puts that smile on when he sees her! but on a second viewing I noticed that he was looking down at the train tracks and it made me think that he was thinking about suicide then but Josie intervened!

You've watched it...! You can't unwatch it!!

I never studied it in the HSC but i have seen the movie a few times...i always thought that the movie was very REAL...being a sydneysider i know many people who ARE just like these characters in the movie. I used to sit on the orange seats that appear at central station in the movie (that have now been removed :( )

Also it deals so nicely with HSC angst, private v public school snobbery and the importance of getting into law school and the pressure put on students to attain the magic mark (UAI of 99.6 for usyd and 99.35 for unsw) to make usyd law or unsw law... like i did :D

i didnt really connect with me that he was thinking about suicide but i did look at it that he was heaps sad adn then he sees josie but his smile is so fake and thats really sad because its like he has to pretend to be happy infront of everyone when in actual fact hes not.
