On the Jellicoe Road

I am hoping with all I have they make this book into a movie.
If you haven't read it, you must.
I cry so much.
But it's my favourite book of all time. I hadn't read it for a while and I borrowed it and read it in a night, and I thought nothing could top Twilight but this is so much better.
The storylines fit together so well, with no loose ends.
Promise me you will.
It's by Melina Marchetta as well.
IF you have read it, what do you think of it?

its an absoloutely fantastic book and i agree its completely owns twilight (though a very good book in its own right , its way too simple). OTJR is clever , and the complexity of Taylor's relationships , the interwoven storyline , brillant characters definately Melina Marchetta's best book. A movie would be perfect

I read that Melina Marchetta's working on a script. I think it'd work really well as a movie.

I absolutely adore Melina Marchetta. I read OTJR three times right after one another and sobbed every single time. I've read it seven times already and it is still wonderful. I think it's my favorite although I also love Saving Francesca. I would be thrilled if they did an OTJR movie!!!!

A MOVIE?
Awesome dude!
Have you read Finnikin of the Rock?

Abby -- You can't rush science, Gibbs! You can yell at it and scream at it, but you can't rush it.

reply

Sadly Finnikin hasn't been released in the US yet. I'm waiting for it though.
