Looking for Alibrandi- Film Study (Area of study: Change)

How are the notions of change portrayed in the film?

Um...I'm just gonna take a stab at this.
Looking for Alibrandi is riddled with change.
There's the transition from grade 12 to the world - Josie is in her final year of school, and it's a big bad world out there, and she's scared.

Her father is suddenly around, which is something that she's never experienced before. As Carly says in the movie, "you don't have a father" - Josie has never spoken of a father figure, thus, a sudden father figure hanging around is a signifier of change.

When John Barton died, that's a major change in Josie's life. A good friend of her's commited suicide. It's going to change the way that she looks at herself, him, morals, values and life in general.

I'm not too sure if this is what you wanted, but I thought that since I'm not doing anything, I may as well give your question a go.
