Does anyone know how many files...

...You're supposed to find in the first half of the game, before you get to the free save? I just started replaying it today, I got through the first half of the game in less than two hours, saved Steve pretty fast, didn't use any first aid sprays, didn't die, didn't retry, didn't save until the game asked me to. But I'm not sure that I collected all of the files (I have 14, including the D.I.J. file you get from the slot machine in the mini game), and if I didn't, that was kind of a waste of my time. :)

because if u use either easy or normal mode u may die. that scene when steve ask claire to see what happen and unlock the emergency gate.

claire need to go to typewriter to save the progress first. or else if she get out from the emergency door and fight tyrant, she will die within 5 mins.

Last time I tried making a complete collection of Code Veronica Files, and found that the total file amount is about 20-21. I found 21 files though.

I remember that the ashford picture file is the 9th. if u ask how many file are in the first disc (first half) I think u need to count by yourself.

I can only remember that the 7 picture room (ashford family) one is the 9th file.

Yes the family generation is exactly the 9th.

the invitation of Alfred Ashford in the mansion is also included

I think that it's not easy to get all

I was just confused because I thought there was a file that I was supposed to get in the first half of the game, but you actually get it in the second half.
