Mediocre movie with nostalgia and re-watch value

Anyone think this movie is average at best but keeps drawing you back for more? Ive always liked the concept and themes this movie touches on and I really like the score and the action is decent but it really doesnt deliver on its potential with the script, the acting, the editing, the cinematography, the SFX, the direction etc. Regardless I keep coming back to it despite how flat it is in a lot of areas. I was hooked on this movie as a kid but even then never really loved it, certainly no where near as much as Arnolds other action flicks. Its hard to explain but its a mixture of nostalgia and the story and ideas this movie had. Anyone else feel the same way?

I agree. It's quite watchable, but nothing special.

I think the movie looked good and lots of the special effects were good.

Some of the action scenes were kind of muted, arguably to fit in to American PG requirements.

The main villain, Drucker, was very much a by the numbers type character.

Finally, I felt the film was very reminiscent of an earlier Arnie vehicle, Total Recall.

Oh yeah. It's definitely a loveable dud.

Anyone here mentions Hotel California dies before the first line clears his lips.
