If you think about it, at that point in the movie, the main character is totally unaware of how to interact with women. If you have any experience with similarly-minded men (boys), then you will know that among all those insane and incorrect thoughts is rarely a concern about the emotional toll of their beliefs and misconceptions on the women (girls) they have close relationships with. It is almost impossible for an immature male to think of a female that he is sexually involved with as a human being.
This is perfectly reflected in the voice-over. These are the thoughts in his mind before he has his awakening; his epiphany. The goal of this film was not to denigrate women, but to detail one male's development into (hopefully) a sexually mature adult. And, of course, somehow, in the process, everyone around him has the same awakening without all the work.
In the end, this movie is here to entertain. Men, boys, women, and girls, will all get something different out of it. Try to find the humor in the film, if that is even possible.
