Pilot episode was great, for the first part where they made a recap of Z they used a variation of Z's BGM and then all the rest was with new animation and music as it was part of Super's actual episode.

It felt very much like watching Dragon Ball with Dragon Ball Z characters, or so to say, adult version of the teen/kid characters. Beerus was an ásshole and damn Whis didn't even do anything to stop it but you'll know why once you watch it.

Anyway, I just hope that a proper fansub team takes care of subbing it because "AnimeRG" did a crap job (just because something's free doesn't mean you can't complain).

I'm so confused...I thought Beerus was supposed to be asleep since this takes place before battle of the gods. I just don't see how the movie will fit in properly with the series.

No, no. Super takes place after Majin Boo's defeat (part of the Z/Kai universe) by Son Goku.

The reason that Beerus, Whis and others are there is because they're new Dragon Ball characters and obviously they're not going to keep them hidden. I assume in time we'll see Golden Freeza (when one of them visits/falls to Hell again).
