The way I see, is that TTT is a portable version of Tenkaichi 3 which plays identically but has a much shorter while still great roster.
So aside the crazy amount of characters, which is my pick? TTT.
I love that I can have tag team battles and fight two at once if I want, plus the graphics look pretty good on a TV too.
I never played tag, I loved tenkaichi 3.
Do you remember that weird game board style from boudakai 2? Hey we landed on the same spot, lets fight. LOL

I remember that.. never liked Budokai 2 very much. I'd rather take Budokai 3, Shin Budokai 2, Burst Limit and Infinite World instead.
Love playing in Shin Budokai 2 as Super Saiyan 4 Goku. He just looks so badass. 8)
While TTT is almost a T3 port they also retuned the menu, expanded the single player mode, a few new maps, added the tag team aspect. But they also subtracted a bit also.
Tenkaichi 3 is and has been my favorite since 2007. I kept my copy until this year when I learned how to copy my games on a flash drive and play them that way on the Wii.
Tenkaichi 3 is my favorite DBZ game. Never played TTT because I got rid of my PSP.

Talkin' 'bout TTT reminded me to look up the Super Saiyan God Goku mods and whatnot.
Tenkaichi 3 was one of the best DBZ Games and my favorite DBZ Game next to Budokai 3 and Tenkaichi 2
But never played Tenkaichi Tag Team, because it has the worst story mode and it has no GT characters
Well, il go for Tenkaichi 3 because of the Large Character Roster and a Better Gameplay
Screw the story mode, I just snatched up a 100% savedata and used that to get all the characters.
For GT and newer characters there are the mods.
I wonder if someone has made a mod of TTT to play as Blue Super Saiyan Goku now... gotta check.
