Hair colors won't be the actual colors. Animes as live actions just don't work.
It sounds like a good idea in my head but to actually put into practice would be tough without bastardizing the material.
I can only picture a movie being made about the Chunin Exams, that would be cool. Have Orochimaru be the main antagonist.

That would mean they skip over Zabuza mission. That fight became a big part of who Naruto is.
I think that is another problem with long animes being movies. They can't condense into a 2hr movie without skipping key parts. Another moment is the 1st ep of him stealing the scroll and seeing his relationship with Iruka.
They would probably want to do Chunin Exams up to when he beats Gaara and that isn't possible. The best thing about the Exams was discovering other characters but the movie will focus only on Naruto. In the show we had like 50 eps or more to learn about him before exams.
I would enjoy a movie with zabuza and haku as well, but not an entire film about that mission.
If they.found a way to condense that with the chunin exams into a 2 hour film ill be all for it but it sounds like an arduous task. Casting would be even tougher

The Land of Waves arc is a standalone arc that doesn't for into the main story as significantly as everything after that point.
A part of me thinks they should skip it because of that but it would work for the first movie I think.
The second movie would cover the Chunnin Exams and the attack on Konaha and then the third movie would cover the Search for Tsunade and Sasuke Retrieval arcs.
They'd have to cut some things out and condense parts but I do think they could make a trilogy out of Part 1 of Naruto.

Well it's only where they start to build their bond and I think they could portray that in alternate ways.
And like I said whereas all the arcs after it all link together with the Orochimaru/Sasuke ordeal and then Part 2 revolving around the Akatsuki, the Land of Waves arc has little importance to the overall story.
But it wouldn't make sense to skip it either.
If the first one covered Kuramas attack on the village, Naruto becoming a Genin, introducing the rookie 9, the Land of Waves arc then that'd be a good start and they wouldn't have to ram so much into the sequel.
