Gohan is a scientist according to Legendary Super Warriors
So that settles it. Akira Toriyama is wrong as Gohan's not a scholar but a scientist.

Gohan's just so dull like that doing nothing interesting or exciting as his father, Son Goku does. Even Mr. Satan was entertaining.
shareI think it suits him fine. He was never interested in looking for the next challenge like Goku. He only went to Namek because he felt responsible for Piccolo dying and he only trained to fight the androids because he wanted to be one of the guys. He never came off as someone who genuinely enjoyed fighting and getting stronger.
I have never understood why people think Gohan is some great warrior who could take over the reigns from his father. He might have been the most powerful at one point but he never had the fighting instinct that Goku and Vegeta have. I consider Goten and Trunks to be more of a true warrior than Gohan since they at least enjoy fighting. Gohan showed his true colors to me when he didn't have the balls to put Videl in her place when she insulted his father and his friends when they had to punch that joke of a strength tester at the tournament.
That is pretty true.
I think Trunks that grew up with Vegeta had to get that passion for fighting. Vegeta isn't going to let his son be weak. He would want him to defend the Earth when he dies.
Future Trunks from the Android world seemed more like Gohan. He saw so much fighting that he wouldn't love fighting.
Goten just picked up the bug some how. Probably being around Trunks. Goku wasn't there to teach him and Gohan was at school.
