I noticed the drawing style changed after the Freiza saga.

So in the beginning of the series, they were drawn all round and bubbly (like they were in the Dragon Ball series).

Later, after the Namek Saga they were drawn with sharp edges and a lot more definition. Their physiques were drawn very square. Is there a particular reason the animation style changed midway in the series?
