Nice to know the people on this thread aren't full blown wankers. I was just checking out some other sites where I left comments on the videos because although I heard of them, I never actually sat through a whole Derp Battle video before.
Oh boy it does not take long before I get reminded why I hate comic wankers. Needless to say they follow the steps I expect them to follow.
Step 1. Bring up instances in stories to show how full of crap Derp Battles/wankers claims are. Wankers get their panties in a bunch being all defensive, trying to debate my claims while also throwing 4 year old insults like calling me an idiot.
Step 2. I then bring up all the times Superman has gotten his butt whoop by chumps, when he clearly isn't using his speed or kung fu skills (LOL) the way Derp Battles and wankers claim or how the fights where he displayed his almighty fanwank powers had him losing said fight or being portrayed in a bad light in the overall occasion. Wankers then try to use any excuse they can to ignore all those showings that makes up like 99% of the characters' appearances while also being utter hypocrites in numerous fields by doing the exact opposite to the character they're trying to trash.
Step 3. I then blow hole in any excuses by bringing up examples that says their excuses are crap. Wankers now being the butthurt crybabies that they are, really throw a fit but try and claim I'm the crybaby when it's obvious the one that needed to start naming call is obviously the butthurt crybaby.
Step 4. This is a new step, but now bring up interviews where said comic character's own writer and someone who has a high ranking in the company (like say Geoff Johns who wrote Superman and ran DC prior to New 52) outright says in a interview that said comic character would get demolished by their opposing character or can't do what wankers/Derp Battles claim. Wankers now really get all butthurt and would either ignore this or sometimes even try and make the writer seem less credible.
Just Jesus f'ing Christ, they really can't just let it go that their fave character is not unbeatable or that the company their character is from isn't the best ever. Granted all fandoms have their shares of deranged fanboys, but comics easily take the cake for most abundant. No wonder media pokes fun at them as a bunch of immature idiots who haven't mentally grown past the age of 5, and who's prone to outbursts if you say anything that will question the sanctity of their favourite comic character because that's exactly how many of them acts like online. Then again, they're overly obsessive about characters meant for 5 years olds, so it shouldn't be any surprise their mindset stayed the same as the target audience. I'll also add they must have clear insecurity issues seeing how defensive they are not only of their favourite character, but they can't seem to go a minute without starting wars over how much their character is better than other characters.
It really says something that out of all the sites online, only one, maybe two I can think of where I can actually have a reasonable discussion about battles involving comic characters without too many people going all raging, butthurt crybaby fanboy mode on me.
