Gohan didn't quit being a fighter, he just opts not to if unneeded

People say that after the Cell arc he no longer fought but did they forgot he battled toe to toe with Super Boo? Being cocky is what made him lose the battle.

He should have kept training and fighting regularly. Everyone else trianed and showed discipline , the one thing gohan lacks that held him back. His potential was wasted and IMO he could have have surpassed everyone.

The zenith of his appeal as a character was his battle with cell. SS 2 teen gohan was awesome.

His mom made him quit fighting for studying.

I love him. He was never a fighter anyway. He's a chill guy who can get down if need be.

He didn't push himself after Cell. That Saiyaman sh!t wasn't training, it was barely light exercise.

Chi Chi is to blame. When Gohan was a kid he wanted to train and be around his dad and the guys. After Cell he focused on what his mom wanted. He could have still trained and studied. Hell he could have went into the Hyperbolic time chamber to study all he wanted.

the series makes it pretty clear that he was out of shape

he only returned to shape when the old guy released his hidden powers
