I just watched episode 8 and as they were evacuating at the end I saw 3 crew I had no recollection of all! Then I was watching episode 9 and when the guy in the wheelchair shows up there is a woman and one other with a force lance on the bridge? Have I missed something? Who are these people?
In episode 5 they picked up some crew off the old Earth ship Bellerophon. Former members of that crew who did not want to continue with what tehy saw as a wasted mission, Capt Hunt adopted them into his own crew.
Yeah, I remember random assorted crew members running around the Andromeda (usually when they were being fired upon, so there were more bodies to go flying around the set, then get up completely unscathed with perfect hair and clothes), and would occasionally start to think they'd finally gotten a full crew complement, now that the Commonwealth was re-formed and growing. But then at other points in the same episode or in other episodes it was back to "we only have five people, and Beka's off doing this, and Harper's off in a surfing competition (okay, that was Season 1, I think), etc., etc.
They are extras / no-names / sometimes red-shirts.
Destroy all that which is evil, so that which is good may flourish.
At least the show had an ending, with all their problems with funding that was great. Even if they used those CGI effects over and over and over. I would love it if they spent less on each episode and actually finished the darn thing. Unlike these days where they spend a bundle and never finish any of it. Actually the new craze is half the number of episodes as well. Kind of like start a story and then poof.. Not even worth turning on the tv these days.
