shareWho's "Ben Afflick"? I can't find a page for him so I guess he must be so bad of an actor IMDb doesn't want to give him any attention.
I do know this is a movie starring Ben Affleck who is regarded as a pretty good actor by most people and got his share of praise for Hollywoodland and also for his directing for Argo and The Town, which he also starred in, and is playing the new Batman on the big screen.
In all fairness, he didn't write the dialogue. I blame that more than the acting, there's no way to deliver some of those lines without making them laughable.
You never know when you may have to jam
He was great in Gone Girl and The Town.

I think he has finally found himself in the acting world. Yes, he was bad...but Argo and Gone Girl have shown he had arrived.
I've always liked his directing. I hope he gets his personal life together...but please, if not Jennifer Garner (such a wonderful person), don't go back to that fatass, self-centered, skank Jennifer Lopez.

Argo was a more intense version of his Gone Girl. Maybe you're right, I just like giving someone who has enough talent to be on the national scene...well, give them the benefit of the doubt.
But Pike...did she act? I really like her...she kept her legs spread in Gone Girl. In her anti-Bond Girl role she was fantastic. But...this is not about her...just him.
I never saw Affleck or Hartnett in anything prior to "PH" so I don't know how to rate them. Maybe it was the script. I just felt that the love story in PH fell flat because of the wooden acting and the lack of chemistry between any of the main characters. Beckinsale I had seen in other things and liked her acting.
There's so much blame to go around, who knows what went wrong here.
