When you think about it butler really could've taken over the world

The way their war machine was running and as modern as it was. All they had to do was make an alliance with Japan before they struck Pearl Harbor. Have the japs invade mainland Russia from the east and try to meet the. In the middle. The same way Germany was fighting on two fronts well Russia would be fighting two fronts. America would've been out of the war still.

Wonder if America would've been able to defend itself from a united Germany Japan if they were able to take Europe

Germany and Japan would have never united. Had they met in the Middle East they would have fought with each other. Both countries believed in the "master race" lie; Hitler even voiced concern that Japan was defeating the white races in Asia and was afraid that Australia would be overrun.

Japan was defeated so soundly by the Russians in '38 and '39, they didn't want any part of fighting them again, IMO, unless Germany had defeated the USSR then like jackals they would've gone for the Maritime Provinces and Siberia.
