Judging a sequel on its own merits
This year, I'm reviewing my 31 favorite horror movie sequels. And of course, I'm including Hannibal: http://myvinylmuse.com/tag/horror-sequel-marathon/
But I'm the only person who I've ever talked to who actually liked this movie. And every time I ask why, they say it's because it's not as good as SOTL. I agree. But I personally don't think it's fair to judge a sequel on the merits of its predecessor. I wanted to see what you guys thought about this topic.
