The letter-writing scene is one of my favorites, and I too love the frayed edge of the envelope. Were my handwriting more attractive I’d definitely write more letters. it’s a dying art, really.

I agree.

And I guess Ridley Scott really liked the scene as well - they repeat the "Ta - Ta, H." line over the soundtrack right when the credits end.

I've been reading the book for the first time over the past few weeks - and I thought fans of the film (and this scene in particular) might be interested to know: this part of Hannibal's letter to Clarice is unique to the film.

Yup. Not sure, but it looks like Strathmore paper(I managed a copy shop for years).
