I liked this movie because it felt like an 80s action-themed comedy

I can't quite put it into words, but it had that quality that gave you a sense of adventure only an 80s comedy could. And an action comedy more specifically.

It reminded me of things like Innerspace, 3 Fugitives, and some others. Movies that make you laugh, but also actually get you interested in the action as well.

Total agree with you. This movie reminds me the Touchstone Pictures 80's classics such as "Stakeout", "Disorganized Crime" or "Turner and Hooch" that's why i liked it a lot.

OP - yes I understand the quality you are referring to and I agree, although I'd never thought about it before. If it had been made 10 years before I imagine it would have starred Goldie Hawn.
