Confused about why M. Dufayel scolds Lucien...

Why does Monsieur Dufayel scold Lucien when he says "Courtesy of Monsieur Collignon" and make him practice with rhymes? Is it because Lucien pronounces the name wrong?

He doesn't want Lucien to give Mr Collignon the title of Monsieur.
