Yeah, why not.

I get the hate, i really do. This is not a good movie. To call it a waste of money, though, is the most asinine statement I've ever heard. If you walked into the theater thinking you were in for a a great film experience, you should know that you're walking into a Friday the 13th movie. If you rented it expecting the second coming of Citizen Kane, then you should realize that it's Jason in space! How is there anything redeeming in that concept to anyone except series fans?

(when I say you I mean the general you, not you Snickq78 :) )

If you're NOT a fan of the series then of course you're not going to be a fan of the movie. If you're new to the series then don't let this be your first experience of the franchise, start at the beginning and enjoy the ride. If you're a fan of the series then methinks you should love this movie too cos (like was said above) it is Jason in Space, ie. it's JASON in Space, not some lowpar crappyold pretender in a hockey mask in Space, not an "oh so he's not a zombie anymore, howdat happen" Jason in Space, what it is is our Jason in Space, the Jason who's a recognizable 'product' from the previous movies, maybe iteration is a better word. If you're a fan of Jason then he does what you'd expect Jason to do if you'd followed the previous movies - none of that hostage taking crap, none of that cooking her dinner and afternoon tea crap, none of that let's explore Jason's crib crap, he is Jason, so yay.

I'll agree the movie is kinda silly in places and roll-eyes worthy in others and yes the ship shoulda depressurized at the end, but if you were a fan of 1-9 then it is inconceivable that you'd write this movie off as a big no-thanq.
