The end of Friday the 13th & A Nightmare on Elm Street original series.

I do love this film as well as the other Friday the 13th films(all 11 of them) & A Nightmare on Elm Street(all 8 of them) but I view this film as the closure to the original series narrative of both franchises here's why:

Both Friday the 13th & A Nightmare on Elm Street we're separate franchises for Friday it was from 1980-2002 with Nightmare on Elm Street it was 1984-1991(the 1994 film New Nightmare exist as a separate entity exclusive within the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise) until 2003 they combined them now with Jason X being after the events of FVJ and killing of Jason and Freddy went within in between the events of FVJ & JX.

So if you marathon them all back to back like I have at one point in my life boy it was a fun 36-Hours of My life the films go like this not including the pre-mythology stuff of the films this is how the films fit as a timeline of events:
The Book starts with Friday the 13th(1980) which sets up the events of Jason's bloodbath by having his mother which was killing for the revenge of death of her son then gives Jason a similar mission.
The 2nd Chapter is what introduces Freddy Kreuger in A Nightmare on Elm Street.
The 3rd chapter consist three installments in the Jason franchise (2,3 & 4) which all like every fan knows within a few days of each other Part 2 has a more human Jason who has been living in the woods amongst his friendly woodlyn creatures as a coping method with his near fatal drowning incident due to bullies and his obsessive and controlling mother of which he loved but couldn't stand her behavior he decided to go rouge in the woods where he doesn't bother anyone else until the events of Part 1 where he snaps and goes bloodthirsty after he saw his mother die so the events of 2 occur,3 goes on a day after Jason moves away from the Crystal Lake region after a massive cop search for him so he retreats to Higgins Heaven then after that the cops thought they captured him after the events of 3 so he returns to Camp Crystal Lake free from cops but he runs into the Jarvis family and he goes on another killing spree closing the books of the human Jason saga.
The 4th chapter is A Nightmare on Elm Street 2:Freddy's Revenge Nancy goes to a mental ward to cope with trauma of the events of the 2nd chapter of this saga and now a new family moves in the Walsh family where Jesse Walsh meets up his girlfriend Lisa and his best friend Grady and that goes on,
The 5th chapter is A Nightmare on Elm Street 3:The Dream Warriors Jesse died at the end of Part 2 and unlike Chapter 3 having 3 Friday the 13th film this is a separate chapter that follows another Nightmare on Elm Street film due to it consisting of a year difference as said by Nancy we see the the Dream Warriors do their thing.
The 6th Chapter is Friday the 13th A New Beginning which unlike New Nightmare of which is very distant from this storyline Friday the 13th A New Beginning is distant but it's fits somehow in with this storyline.
The 7th Chapter is A Nightmare on Elm Street 4:The Dram Master of which kills of the Dream Warriors and gave birth to the Dream Master.
The 8th Chapter is A Nightmare on Elm Street 5:The Dream Child of which provides closure for the Alice character but gives Freddy a new victim in Jacob.
The 9th Chapter is Jason Lives:Friday the 13th Part VI and effective gives Freddy a fighting competitor in Zombie Jason which is the next evoloution of the Jason character and the film gives a end to the Tommy Jarvis character.
The 10th Chapter Friday the 13th Part VII:The New Blood and it doesn't really add much to the story overall.
The 11th Chapter Friday the 13th Part VIII:Jason Takes Manhattan occurs.
The 12th Chapter is Freddy's Dead The Final Nightmare of which kills of Jacob in John Doe and also puts an end to the solo Freddy film Freddy is now in hell waiting to meet Jason.
The 13th Chapter is Jason Goes to Hell:The Final Friday which sets up the events of Freddy Vs. Jason
The 14th Chapter is Freddy Vs. Jason now they both have fought each other Freddy remains in Dream land with nobody to attack after FVJ and then.
The 15th and Final Chapter is Jason X which kills off any victims from both the Freddy & Jason films and their bloodline due to age and now we have Jason in space becomes cyborg Jason which dies after the fall from Space.


Now their's 15 Chapters before both Freddy & Jason went off to their own separate things yet again becoming their own thing with the awesome remakes.

Unlike Halloween where their's still a story to tell in the original series both Freddy & Jason have closure.
