The makers knew the Jason vs Freddy movie was in the pipeline so set THIS movie in the far future, ie. set it to happen AFTER the JvF movie.
The meaning is the film was scheduled to pop out after Freddy vs. Jason?
shareiiuc -> The Jason vs Freddy movie was taking SOOOOOOOO darn long to be made that the Jason-people wanted to make a Jason movie whilst they waited for the Jason vs Freddy people to get things together. So they made their Jason movie and had it take place after Jason is brought back from Hell and after everything that would happen in the Freddy vs Jason movie.
