Both films have their own charm but as I'm not too huge on JGTH I think it took way too many liberties with the Jason character and is a even worse offender of adding too much stupid BS mythology behind it's long running character than Halloween:The Curse of Michael Myers.I mean Halloween 6 has enough variables to invalidate it's weird sub plot to the character but with JGTH it made Jason into a mystical close to being a sh!t weasel like demon worm.See I don't hate JGTH it has it's own charm but I overall think it's amongst my least favorites of this franchise. Now Jason X even as bad as it sounds on paper is a lot more entertaining sure it made Jason into a cyborg robot but that's more passible.Jason X overall feels more in tone with a Friday the 13th film.Jason X had fun and closed the original Friday the 13th series with a bang.It was silly,It was dumb but it was a good time.

Very well put my fellow Jason fan friend. The only thing I got out of Goes to Hell was the very beginning and very last scene with Freddy. Jason X is just fun entertainment.
But let's face it, I will keep watching these FT13 movies no matter bad they get. Haha

Both I rate a 9, but I pick Jason X (space aspect was neat, and the Uber Jason was badass). Both films are criminally underrated, imo.

History is written by the victor. History is full of liars.

I love all of them and even the reboot that everyone calls a remake.

I am a gore watching freak!!!

If it don't have it, it isn't worth the watch.

I have to go with Jason Goes To Hell. I find the characters and story to be a lot more interesting even though they changed up the formula a whole lot and did their own thing.

I've changed my mind I prefer Jason Goes To Hell

Jason X definitely. Jason Goes To Hell was an incoherent mess that could have been significantly cooler than it was. Not only did it have Freddy at the end and not only did the Necronomicon make an appearance in the movie, hinting at two epic crossovers, only one of which was actually acted upon and even then not for over a decade, but the movie could have been a lot more.

I read somewhere that they were considering bring Tommy back from Parts 4, 5 & 6, since he's still alive at the end of 6. The idea was that he was this hardcore, paranoid survivalist now and he's come back to face down Jason once and for all, for the last time. This would have been awesome. Instead we end up with this weird bounty hunter who magically knows that Jason has to be killed with a knife by his family member? What? Where did this knife come from? Jason has relatives?

And then there's the whole thing with the body swapping. I guess it was a cool idea but it seemed really out of nowhere for a Jason movie, which I guess was the point after the colossal failure of Jason 8 was (seriously, I couldn't believe how bad Jason Takes Manhattan was...even for a slasher franchise) and they wanted to do something new. And apparently if Jason gets into the body of a relative, he's reborn as the normal Jason, clothing, hockey mask and all?

I just think that they should have tried that Tommy idea and put a little more effort into the film. Or maybe a lot more.

And although I do like Jason X a lot, it's not my favorite out the series. Ironically I think Freddy vs. Jason is the best put together and most entertaining film of the whole franchise.
