Why not create more victims to keep him busy? I know originally there was going to be a bigger scene with a topless volleyball game and even Mrs. Vorhees showing up that had to be scrapped. But why make the characters seem so dumb. If they really could have no more shots of VR Crystal Lake, that would have been a good time for the explosion to take out the .. I'm going to call it the holodeck... that happened about 20 seconds after they gave up with the simulation.
