Cloe's dog

How did she get Dipstick? Because I would think that Roger and Anita would keep all their dogs like they did in the first one. Remember, they got that huge house at the end and said how they have their dogs and their children and their children's children etc. etc. etc. Then why would Cloe get Dipstick? Was she their daughter? But if so, wouldn't Dipstick've died by then?

I wondered the same thing too and my mother suggested maybe Roger and Anita have people come over to their place and adopt their dogs and that's their new career. I agree with her. Roger and Anita have so many dogs, they decide to start their new career. Have people come over and pick out a Dalmatian and they pay them for the dog they chose. Sometimes I wonder if Chloe was related to Anita like maybe she is a sister but no that can't be because Chloe has a different last name than Anita's maden name and she isn't even married either so I wondered if Chloe could be a cousin of Anita or maybe just a friend of hers. But it's possible Chloe could be Anita's sister, half-sister or maybe step so she and Anita had different fathers.

True, I could understand that, but why would Roger and Anita depart from the original 15(?} puppies? I actually thought that same thing about the sister thing. At first I thought the baby, but that couldn't be, Dipstick was still alive, then I went to sister or something like that. Oh well, movie error.

I wish the movie did explain why Chloe had Dipstick. The movie novel didn't explain it either so I'm assuming that is left for us to decide.

reply

Yeah, but it's still an awesome movie. Especially Kevin.

There is a sequel to the novel 101 Dalmations by Dodie Smith called The Starlight Barking, and in that some of the puppies wanted to leave their home.Perhaps that is what happened here with Dipstick.

reply

That's also a possiblity too. Why did they want to leave their homes?

El Nino is Spanish for...the Nino.

reply

I guess you could say just like people, must people at one point want to leave the parents and live on their own maybe thats what Dipstick wanted.

Dipstick at the most would be 4 years old , since Curella was in jail for 3 years so not that much time passed not even four years
