I think Hiro made a reference to Chrono and Marle story, in season 4 when he went back and saved her love interest Charlie.
I KNOW! I created a similar topic on the Heroes' board. But yeah, everyone agrees he's referring to Chrono Trigger because there are no other known Cronos and Marles in our Pop Culture Universe.
